The building at 100 Tower Gardens Road was the original estate office / rent office.

In recent years the building has been used as a Sure Start centre, a nursery and as offices for the charity HomeStart. Parts of the building are now empty.

Both the council and the residents group are interested in potential community uses for the building. The council is also carrying out a mapping exercise which will consider all the council’s buildings and whether they can be better utilised.

In December 2024 a group of residents were able to view the inside of the building. There are notes and photos from that tour.
